Laker is pleased to announce we have secured a 5-year contract with the Royal Borough of Greenwich; value is estimated to be in the region of £18m. Laker will provide a team of local service and maintenance engineers to complete a range of services for the Royal Borough of Greenwich properties including; industrial estates, shops, offices, schools, parks and open spaces, leisure and community centres and libraries.
Services will include annual gas safety checks, routine and emergency maintenance and replacements of boilers and central heating systems. The award follows a competitive tender process by the Royal Borough of Greenwich early in 2019. Companies were assessed against their ability to deliver a high-quality tailored service, value for money and a positive impact in the community.

The contract is to provide the planned servicing and maintenance of:-
• gas fired boiler plant;
• water pumps;
• heating and cooling systems;
• mechanical extract fans;
• door entry phone systems and access controls;
• fire alarm and fire detection systems;
• security systems;
• emergency lighting installations
• Responsive repairs to all mechanical plant in the event of failure;
• Responsive repairs to all electrical systems in the event of failure.
The contract began at the end of May and heralds the further successful expansion of our Commercial Gas team in the south and across London. Laker looks forward to building a strong relationship with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and their customers and will be focused on delivering our trademark high quality, customer centric maintenance service.
